Uma Festa Inesperada: Duas Narrativas

Nestas ilustrações, selecionei um trecho de livro e o relacionei visualmente com duas músicas totalmente diferentes - de um lado, um doce, leve e calmo Chorinho/Valsa, e do outro, um elétrico, caótico e animado Jazz -, criando assim, duas narrativas diferentes. :)

O livro escolhido foi o lendário O Hobbit, de J. R. R. Tolkien, e o trecho, uma cena icônica do capítulo "Uma Festa Inesperada".

An Unexpected Party: Two Narratives

In these illustrations, I selected an excerpt from a book and visually related it to two totally different songs – on one side, a sweet, light and calm Chorinho/Valsa, and on the other, an electric, chaotic and lively Jazz -, thus creating two different narratives. :)

The book chosen was the legendary The Hobbit, by J. R. R. Tolkien, and the excerpt, an iconic scene from the chapter "An Unexpected Party".

Nesta primeira composição, busquei trazer a energia de paz, harmonia e tranquilidade presente no Chorinho, trabalhando com uma perspectiva reta, cores sem muita saturação e formas lineares, que insinuam uma fluidez e até um equilíbrio na cena.

In this first composition, I wanted to bring the energy of peace, harmony and tranquility present in the Chorinho, working with a straight perspective, colors without much saturation and linear shapes, which insinuate a flow and even a balance in the scene.

Nesta aqui, por outro lado, a ideia foi representar toda a energia, animação, caos e tensão do Jazz, trabalhando sem utilizar praticamente (ou literalmente) nenhuma linha reta, com elementos espalhados por toda a composição, perspectiva dinâmica e cores bem saturadas.

This one, on the other hand, the idea was to represent all the energy, animation, chaos and tension of Jazz, working without practically (or literally) any straight lines, with the elements scattered throughout the composition, dynamic perspective and quite saturated colors.
